We are seeking an efficient Order Picker to join our team in Tampa, Florida! In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. Your attention to detail and speed are crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the efficiency of our warehouse operations. You will work with a handheld scanner or other technology to locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves. This position is a cornerstone of our Logistics , ensuring that orders are fulfilled correctly and promptly. We maintain a strong focus on workplace Safety ; all employees are expected to follow established safety guidelines, use appropriate PPE , and be aware of their surroundings to prevent accidents. This role requires standing for extended periods, walking, bending, and occasional Lifting of items up to 30 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using a scanner or pick list.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into shipping containers.
- Stage completed orders for shipment.
- Verify order accuracy before dispatch.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize required PPE during all picking and packing activities.
- Perform tasks involving moderate Lifting and physical movement.
- Contribute to the overall success of our Logistics department.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and technology.
- Commitment to following Safety guidelines and wearing PPE .
- Capability to perform tasks involving some Lifting .
- Understanding of basic Logistics principles is beneficial.
