Join our growing Distribution Center team in Atlanta, Georgia, as a Distribution Center Associate. This role is essential for the efficient flow of goods through our supply chain. You will be involved in a variety of warehouse functions, including receiving, stocking, order picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment are paramount. We provide comprehensive training on all procedures, including the correct use of PPE. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming inventory against purchase orders or packing slips.
- Stock merchandise in designated warehouse locations using appropriate material handling equipment.
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using pick lists or scanning technology.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, ensuring product integrity during transit.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, including labeling, sorting, and staging.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all established protocols.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently.
- Participate in inventory management processes, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals within the logistics framework.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of and adherence to safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations is a plus.
