We are actively recruiting for a Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic logistics team in Chicago, Illinois. This position is vital for the smooth operation of our distribution center, ensuring that products are handled efficiently and accurately. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for a range of duties including receiving and unloading deliveries, stocking shelves, picking orders, packing items for shipment, and preparing goods for dispatch. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality are essential. You will be trained on the proper use of warehouse equipment and safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We foster a collaborative work environment where teamwork is highly valued. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and possesses good communication skills. Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided. - Receive, inspect, and log incoming shipments.
- Organize and store inventory in designated locations.
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using scanning technology.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for safe transit.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, including labeling and documentation.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Operate material handling equipment safely.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and other operational tasks as directed.
This role requires physical stamina, including frequent lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds, and prolonged periods of standing and moving. We are committed to promoting a safe and healthy logistics workplace.
