We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our high-volume warehouse in Chicago, Illinois. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials, products, and equipment within our facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, a proven track record of operating forklifts reliably, and excellent attention to detail. We provide all necessary PPE and expect strict adherence to all safety protocols. This position requires proficiency with various types of forklifts and a thorough understanding of warehouse logistics. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers and containers.
- Move products from receiving to storage and storage to shipping areas.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear provided PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Follow company policies and procedures for efficient logistics operations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards for forklift operation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
