We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, ensuring smooth operations and minimizing discrepancies. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, from receiving and stocking to cycle counting and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding safety standards. You will work closely with warehouse associates, supervisors, and management to identify and resolve inventory issues promptly. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a dedication to continuous improvement within the supply chain. Responsibilities include conducting regular inventory audits, investigating stock discrepancies, reconciling inventory records, and implementing best practices for inventory control. You will also be involved in optimizing storage solutions and ensuring efficient product flow throughout the facility. The ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively is essential. Compliance with all company policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to lifting guidelines, is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and report any issues to management.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and order fulfillment teams to maintain inventory integrity.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Assist in training new staff on inventory control procedures.
- Contribute to process improvements in inventory management and overall logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in WMS software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring physical exertion.
- Familiarity with safety protocols, including PPE usage.
