Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while handling transactions accurately and efficiently. This role is crucial in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers, ensuring they leave satisfied and eager to return. Hours may very, this position is full time.

Duties

• Process customer transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system with accuracy and speed.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while maintaining cash drawer integrity.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries.
• Upsell products to enhance the shopping experience and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
• Assist in stocking shelves and organizing merchandise as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environment is preferred.
• Strong cash handling skills with a basic understanding of retail math.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Experience with POS systems is a plus.
• A proactive approach to upselling products and enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
