Job Description
We are looking for an organized and positive technician/Inspector to ensure that quality procedures are being followed and that the product meets or exceeds customer and governmental agency requirements and expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Batch Record Review: Perform thorough, line-by-line review and approval of Batch Production Records (BPRs) and Packaging Records for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to cGMP and internal specifications prior to release.
- Assess the production area for quality and product integrity by performing evaluations and tests for quality according to Adept, regulatory, and customer requirements.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished products against established specifications.
- Accurately completing quality control documentation, inspection forms, and logs.
- Identify any products that do not meet the required specifications. Analyze results to determine reasons for failure and report to the supervisor and appropriate department to determine a solution as rapidly as possible.
- In-Process Monitoring for both Solid and Liquid process: Execute and document in-process checks on the manufacturing floor as weights, friability, disintegration, blend uniformity, critical process parameter verification, labeling, following sampling).
- Sampling & Testing: Responsible for performing and/or coordinating raw material, in-process, finished & product sampling.
- Check that all equipment used for Quality Control meet specifications. Verify that all equipment is properly calibrated, and calibrate when needed.
- Help instruct staff on established regulations set by the company and FDA
- Perform pre-production line clearances to ensure equipment is clean, calibrated, and ready for the next production batch, minimizing cross-contamination risks
- Non-Conformance Reporting: Identifying and reporting obvious defects or non-conformances immediately to a senior team member.
- Notify management when significant departures from requirements occur.
- Documentation Control: Manage, control, and archive essential QA documentation, including SOPs, specifications, and test methods.
- Authorize production to commence operations after verifying that preparatory activities have been completed properly.
- Place inventory on hold if it is suspected to be non-conforming, and notify manage.
Minimum Requirements
- Deep, working knowledge of the FDA current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements for dietary supplements, specifically 21 CFR Part 111 &117.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of direct QA experience within the dietary supplement industry in Solid dosage, Powders, Liquids).
- Communicate verbally and in writing to Managers and employees.
- Must have excellent math skills
- Must be proficient reading and writing english
- Strong competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for reporting and data management.
- Must be willing to learn new tasks and procedures
- Deadline driven, have a sense of urgency, and be proactive, possess excellent interpersonal skills, a professional attitude
- The ability to prioritize situations and tasks by importance
- Must have excellent attention to detail, and the ability to respond to rapidly changing priorities and deal with multiple demands, good organizational and follow
