Purpose and Scope:
The Field Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing the performance of field staff. They meet onsite needs, such as equipment delivery, perform budget review and serve as a liaison with internal departments.
Responsibilities:
- Liases with departments and teams prior to commencement, as necessary, to ensure proper SOW (scope of work).
- Performs bid walks.
- Conducts regular inspection walks, including pre-construction.
- Orders and schedules delivery of needed equipment.
- Coordinates material acquisition and delivery with internal departments.
- Acts as main point for communications between company and field.
- Manages work schedules and timecards for field personnel.
- Investigates and resolves issues or complaints.
- Ensures adherence to safety policies.
- Reviews project progress to ensure timely completion.
- Inspects work for quality assurance.
- Completes closeout process, participating in final review and project acceptance.
- Obtains (or confirms possession of) required permits.
- Participates in final building permit inspection and sign off.
- Drives schedule and completes projects on time.
- Creates Bill of Materials for individual projects.
- Provides onsite instruction and training.
- Maintain financial oversight and true-up estimates with project progress.
- Coordinates and supervises field personnel daily.
- All other duties as required.
Skills / Other:
- Train and mentor personnel.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Superior organizational skills.
Education/Training:
- High School graduate or equivalent, required. Bachelor's degree in Business or Construction Management, preferred.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Contractor's license a plus.
- Working knowledge of reading and writing blueprints.
Experience:
- 15 Years of progressive knowledge in construction or civil engineering.
Compensation: $80 - $85K DOE
