Installation Operations Manager
Job Description Summary
The Installation Operations Manager is responsible for scheduling the installation crews, maintaining the installation schedules, and interfacing with the customers to obtain the necessary information to successfully complete the installation projects. The Installation Operations Manager position collaborates with other personnel across multiple departments to ensure timely coordination and completion of installations. The Installation Operations Manager is also responsible for maintaining a high-quality installation team and process to help Avante Health Solutions continue to reach its goal of being the number one capital installation provider in the industry.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
  • Manages a team of highly trained installers through continuous training and improvement to attain company goals
  • Actively monitors and engages installation team ensuring proper priorities and goals are set that drive the growth and expansion of installation capabilities
  • Maintains the schedule of field personnel performing installations/de-installations
  • Works with Installation Project Manager to create and meet milestone dates for the field installations/de-installations
  • Coordinates with the Warehouse Operations Manager to stage systems at the Charlotte Center of Excellence in preparation of field installations
  • Coordinates third-party vendors to fill in the scheduling gaps of field installations/de-installations
  • Maintains the Quality Assurance area in accordance with 5S protocols and established Avante Health Solutions standards
  • Follows established procedures to resolve readily identifiable technical problems
  • Collaborates with all departments as internal customers, prioritizing tasks as needed for efficiency and compliance
  • Adheres to all company employment policies and safe practices
  • Complies with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per ISO: standards and the Company's Quality Management System
  • Performs other duties as assigned
 
Experience/Training/Education
  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience is required
  • 1-3 years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience is required
 
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
General: Strong ability to manage a group with diverse backgrounds and personalities to a common goal and objective; set goals and objectives for a team as well as individuals; and identify and resolve process and procedure issues to ensure continued smooth operation. Superb time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet regular and frequent deadlines. Attention to detail required. Ability to work well as a team member. Must demonstrate sound work ethic, flexibility, respectfulness, honesty, and trustworthiness. Must also be punctual and dependable. Must possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.
 
Technical: Ability to effectively use Enterprise systems, email, search engine, Internet; ability to effectively use Microsoft Products: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams, and to use or learn specific software needed to improve productivity.
 
Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as industry journals, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence able to gather and correlate information in a manner suitable for conveyance to upper management. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of the organization. Ability to resolve problems involving several variables with limited supervision. Ability to work with others in a team environment to complete projects.
 
Math & Reasoning: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply principles of logical or analytical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism such as formulas, equations, graphs, tables, etc. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and willingness to adapt to change and take initiative.
Physical and Environmental Elements
Physical Demands: Ability to sit continuously for 1/3 of normal work shift, and stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for at least 2/3 of the normal work shift. Ability to climb stairs. Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move up to 100 pounds for several minutes. Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, climb, balance, or otherwise maneuver body while installing parts and/or inspecting medical equipment. Ability to talk or hear continuously. Ability to see clearly to do all work-related tasks (clear or corrected vision at 20 inches or less). Finger dexterity is required frequently for over 1/3 of the normal work shift.
 
Work Environment: Position performed mostly in a warehouse environment with moderate noise levels where temperatures may be subject to outdoor conditions in terms of cold and heat. There is exposure to large medical equipment and parts, heavy machinery, and high-voltage electricity. Requires use of a standard tool set, pallet jack, and forklift.
Special Requirements
  • Must be ready, willing, and able to travel by all modes of transportation and have a passport, valid driver's license, and Motor Vehicle Record meeting company requirements and guidelines
  • May need to travel up to 5%
