This role reports to the Head of IT and Chief Operating Officer.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, with proficiency in both macOS and Windows operating systems. Additionally, the candidate should possess knowledge of Salesforce (even basic understanding) and have experience with Google Workspace. The primary responsibility of the IT Support Specialist will be to provide technical assistance and support to our internal users, ensuring efficient operation of their computer systems and software applications.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues for internal users.
2. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
3. Collaborate with the IT team to identify and implement solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
4. Assist in the administration and maintenance of Salesforce, including user management and basic configuration tasks.
5. Manage user accounts and permissions within Google Workspace (formerly G Suite).
6. Conduct training sessions for employees on software applications, IT best practices, and cybersecurity awareness.
7. Document IT procedures, user guides, and troubleshooting steps to create a knowledge base for future reference.
8. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
9. Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for hardware/software procurement and maintenance.
10. Provide after-hours support as needed for critical issues or system upgrades.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
2. Proven experience in IT support roles, with a strong understanding of both macOS and Windows operating systems.
3. Familiarity with Salesforce, including basic administration tasks such as user management and configuration.
4. Proficiency in Google Workspace (G Suite), including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, etc.
5. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly.
6. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users effectively.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
8. Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
9. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional, etc.) are a plus.
10. Prior experience in a customer-facing role and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
