Job Overview
NNI Construction Co is hiring an experienced Estimator to join our team in a key role that directly supports project planning, cost control, and successful execution. In this full-time, on-site position, you'll be responsible for preparing and managing comprehensive estimates for all 16 trades, coordinating subcontractor bids, and developing construction budgets. You'll also collaborate with leadership to ensure accurate, timely, and competitively priced proposals that set our projects up for success. This position includes some travel for site visits (up to 25%).

Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret project bid documents, specifications, and drawings.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs for all 16 trades using company software.
- Qualify subcontractor/vendor bids and select appropriate low bidders.
- Collaborate with bid soliciting team to assemble and review final proposal packages.
- Develop detailed bid scopes and written proposals with accuracy and professionalism.
- Review final estimates with Director of Estimating and VP of Preconstruction.
- Ensure bid documentation is complete, consistent, and formatted correctly.
- Assist with contract negotiations and pricing strategies.
- Use software such as Bluebeam, Heavy Bid, and Procore for estimating and proposal development.
- Participate in site visits as needed (approx. 25% travel).
- Supervise and mentor 1-2 Estimator Assistants.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience estimating all trades for a General Contractor in retail/commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, processes, and cost controls.
- Experience reviewing bids, drawings, and construction documents.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Heavy Bid, and preferably Procore.
- Excellent written communication skills with attention to formatting and detail.
- Strong ability to work under deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Understanding of construction site operations and logistics.
- High School Diploma or GED required; higher education a plus.
