About the role
Myticas Consulting is seeking a Senior Salesforce Platform Engineer to support a leading financial services organization. In this 100% remote W-2 contract role, you will own the design, build, security, and operation of core Salesforce platform capabilities and integrations. You'll work across business and technology teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reusable components—driving platform adoption, operational excellence, and real business value.

You will be deeply involved in architecting and implementing Salesforce security and integration patterns, optimizing Flows, and enabling product teams to leverage the platform effectively from design through production.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, implement, and configure Salesforce platform services and reusable components to support enterprise patterns and best practices.
• Develop common platform patterns (logging, monitoring, alerting, backup, encryption, tooling, etc.) and provide clear APIs/abstractions for application teams.
• Configure and enhance Salesforce (custom objects/fields, reports, dashboards, workflows, rules, automations, triggers, screen flows, login flows) to meet business needs.
• Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and internal/third-party applications, partnering closely with business, technology, and Information Security teams.
• Manage and refine the Salesforce security model in alignment with information security policies, including profiles, roles, permission sets, and sharing rules.
• Provide Tier 3 support, troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, and evaluate new Salesforce releases for impact and adoption.
• Build and maintain deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines to reduce manual work and improve reliability (e.g., using GitLab).
• Contribute to platform and architectural roadmaps, produce solution documentation, and coach product and engineering teams on Salesforce platform best practices.

Requirements

• Must currently reside in the United States and be able to work remotely.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Salesforce platform engineering or Salesforce development experience delivering solutions from design through production.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a W-2 basis now and in the future without employer sponsorship.
• Proven experience configuring and managing the Salesforce security model (profiles, roles, permission sets, sharing rules).
• Strong experience designing and implementing Salesforce integration patterns and integrating Salesforce with third-party applications.
• Hands-on experience creating, optimizing, and troubleshooting Salesforce Flows, including screen flows and login flows.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud.
• Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer or Platform App Builder.
• Experience with CI/CD and deployment automation for Salesforce (e.g., GitLab pipelines).
• Experience working in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments.
• Background in CRM, Customer Support, Sales, or Marketing domains, and familiarity with scripting (PowerShell or shell scripting).
