Construction Estimator

Mana Construction Inc. is seeking an detail-oriented Construction Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects. This role plays a key part in project planning, bidding, and budgeting by analyzing plans, specifications, labor, materials, and subcontractor pricing.

Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Perform quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals
• Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff to validate assumptions
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed
• Maintain historical cost data and estimating records
• Assist with value engineering and cost-saving initiatives

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of construction estimating experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and costs
• Proficiency in Excel, and estimating and takeoff software preferred
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
• Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

• Hawaiʻi construction experience
• Union and/or prevailing wage project knowledge

Compensation & Benefits:

• Estimated Salary Range: $67,000 - $88,000, depending on experience and qualifications
• Senior or highly experienced candidates may qualify for higher compensation
