ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a temporary, remote-based position.

The Program Manager is responsible for driving day-to-day execution of transformation initiatives, applying front office expertise to connect strategic direction with operational delivery. The role coordinates cross-functional teams to maintain momentum, manage interdependencies, and ensure consistent use of program management tools and standards while tracking progress against milestones, KPIs, and value targets. It also serves as a central point of contact for workstream leads and supports governance routines by preparing high-quality materials for Steering Committees and leadership reviews.

A successful Program Manager will:

  • Operate effectively within the VCO governance model and helps refine processes, standards, and templates
  • Ensure initiative teams keep Shibumi and related artifacts accurate, timely, and complete for leadership, SteerCo, and Board use
  • Maintain delivery momentum across initiatives by coordinating activity, managing interdependencies, and resolving or escalating blockers
  • Produce clear, concise portfolio roll-ups of progress, risk, and value realization in line with VCO reporting standards
  • Work with Finance Lead and initiative owners to keep initiative plans, progress, and value targets aligned

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Portfolio Coordination & Planning

  • Coordinate day-to-day execution across a portfolio of transformation initiatives

  • Work with initiative owners and project managers to maintain charters, milestones, KPIs, and value targets using standard templates
  • Ensure initiatives are structured and categorized according to VCO standards

Execution Routines & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support regular check-ins with initiative teams to review progress, risks, and upcoming milestones
  • Reinforce adherence to existing governance cadence and expectations
  • Facilitate cross-functional coordination and escalate issues through defined

Shibumi Ownership, Data Quality & Reporting

  • Oversee Shibumi data quality for the portfolio within the VCO governance model
  • Monitor completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of updates; follow up to resolve gaps
  • Maintain portfolio reports and standard views used for leadership, SteerCo, and Board reporting
  • Provide input to refine fields, views, and usage patterns in partnership with the tools/analytics team

Value Tracking & Insight Support

  • Partner with Finance Lead and initiative owners to keep value assumptions and tracking aligned
  • Support basic analysis of progress versus plan and value versus target
  • Prepare execution and value-tracking inputs aligned to SteerCo and Board formats

Continuous Improvement

  • Apply program management expertise to evolve VCO standards, templates, and routines
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes and reduce administrative burden for initiative teams
  • Share portfolio and stakeholder feedback to inform ongoing enhancements to the VCO operating model

QUALIFICATIONS & INTERESTS:

  • Required

  • Typically 7–10+ years in program/project management, PMO, operations, or similar roles in a matrixed environment

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives with senior leadership level and below stakeholders
  • Experience supporting large-scale organizational change, ideally within consulting, transformation offices, PMOs, or fast-growing companies
  • Strong organizational skills; proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy in systems and reports
  • Solid analytical skills; comfortable with milestones, KPIs, and basic value-tracking concepts
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication; able to produce simple, actionable status updates
  • Proficiency with program/portfolio tools (e.g., Shibumi, Planview, Smartsheet or similar)
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with established governance and ongoing refinement

Preferred

  • Experience supporting transformation, value creation, or enterprise-wide change initiatives
  • Exposure to PE-backed environments or formal SteerCo/Board reporting
  • Familiarity with core financial concepts (revenue, margin, savings, payback)
  • Project or program management certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile) Prosci or comparable change management certification
  • Exposure to value creation, M&A integration, or transformation programs
  • Experience in technology, consulting, or services industries

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

Estimated Pay Range: $100 USD - $100 USD
