Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground utility lines according to project specifications and safety standards
• Dig trenches using shovels, hand tools, or machinery such as excavators and backhoes under supervision
• Load, unload, and organize materials and equipment needed for construction tasks
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and team members
• Support the setup of traffic control measures around work zones to ensure public safety
• Help with site cleanup and equipment maintenance at the end of each shift
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate daily activities and report any issues or hazards

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including digging, lifting heavy materials, and standing for extended periods
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and environments
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills
• Basic understanding of construction site safety practices; prior experience is a plus but not required
• Valid driver's license preferred; ability to operate small machinery is a bonus but not mandatory
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for success in this role
