speciality electrical contractor
dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions and are seeking an experienced
Payroll Administrator
to support their continued growth and company success.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end weekly payroll process for all employees, ensuring precise and compliant execution in accordance with company guidelines and applicable laws
- Oversee the accuracy and upkeep of employee payroll records
- Monitor and comply with all federal, state, and local payroll tax obligations, including the preparation and submission of required tax filings
- Compile, track, and maintain prevailing wage documentation and OCIP (Owner Controlled Insurance Program) reports
- Work cross-functionally with Human Resources and Accounting to ensure payroll, benefit deductions, and reconciliations are accurate and aligned
- Provide clear, professional support to field and office staff regarding payroll-related inquiries and concerns
- Research and correct payroll variances promptly to minimize impact and ensure resolution
- Participate in internal and external audits, year-end close activities, and other special payroll initiatives
- Evaluate payroll workflows on an ongoing basis and recommend process enhancements to improve efficiency
Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience overseeing payroll operations, preferably within the construction industry
- In-depth knowledge of payroll compliance, including tax laws and reporting requirements
- Hands-on experience with prevailing wage and OCIP reporting standards
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
