About Mary's

Mary's Salads is a fresh, from-scratch kitchen built around real ingredients, disciplined prep, and consistency. We believe great food starts long before the first guest walks in - it starts with strong prep, clean systems, and people who take pride in doing things the right way.

We're hiring Prep Cooks / Kitchen Prep Team Members to support the backbone of our daily operations. This is a hands-on, workhorse role - ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, working with food, and being part of a tight, well-run kitchen.

The Role

As a Prep Cook at Mary's, you are responsible for executing daily food preparation to exact standards so the kitchen and service team can operate smoothly. You'll work closely with kitchen leads and managers to prep produce, proteins, dressings, grains, and components that make up our menu.

This role is about consistency, cleanliness, speed, and pride in execution.

What You'll Do

  • Prep fresh ingredients daily according to prep lists, par levels, and recipes
  • Wash, chop, slice, roast, blanch, mix, portion, and label ingredients accurately
  • Maintain clean, organized, food-safe prep stations at all times
  • Follow FIFO, labeling, dating, and storage standards without exception
  • Support kitchen flow by communicating shortages or issues early
  • Assist with restocking, organization, and light service support as needed
  • Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing prep tasks to standard
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and equipment safety procedures

What We're Looking For

  • Prior kitchen or food prep experience preferred (but not required for the right person)
  • Strong work ethic and ability to stay focused and productive
  • Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 40–50 lbs
  • Attention to detail - recipes, portions, and cleanliness matter
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and punctual
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Food Handler Certification

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
