Summary of Responsibility

To provide Quality verification for in process production and of outgoing finished product, which requires the use of laboratory testing equipment. Performs quality verification on incoming raw product and of outgoing finished product.

Understands supplier defects and how to process non-conforming material.

Job Description

• Perform first piece approvals with the use of lab equipment.
• Understands the customer standards and can make judgement calls accordingly.
• Assist line inspectors with quality issues, help determine the cause and prevent further occurrences.
• Collects/enters data into the necessary spreadsheets.
• Performs Receiving Inspection of raw material.
• Collects information for non-conforming product and communicates issues with management.
• Contains non-conforming product and enters data into Hold Tag Log system.
• Participates in root cause analysis and internal corrective actions.

Health & Safety

• Ensure all safety and non-safety plant rules and regulations are followed.
• Ensure adherence to established housekeeping standards (5S).
• Respond immediately to items brought to his/her attention with respect to hazards, non-compliance issues.
• Adheres to DCS's health and safety, environmental, operating procedures, policies and forms.

• Assist with continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts for the department.
• Coordinate with other departments to identify, analyze and resolve problems.
• Introduce or recommend changes to work methods, aligned with IATF16949:2016 and ISO9001:2015 methodology.
• Willing and able to learn and support Continuous Improvement initiatives such as; 5S, Standardized Work,

Kanban, JIT, Kaizen, and Poke-Yoke.
