Special Education Needs Tutor

This role is ideal for qualified SEN/SEND teachers eager to provide 1:1 tutoring in a creative, flexible, and trauma-informed manner. Together, we can enhance engagement and transform educational journeys!

• Provide engaging tuition in Maths, English, or Science to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and other additional needs
• Support young people referred by local authorities and schools in their educational and social-emotional journeys
• Deliver flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring

• Plan and execute each tutoring session tailored to individual needs
• Deliver holistic and engaging sessions that advance educational and social-emotional development
• Complete lesson reports and provide constructive feedback on progress

• Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS)
• A minimum of 2 years teaching experience
• Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other additional needs
• Knowledge of safeguarding processes
• Enhanced DBS (we can assist with obtaining this at cost if needed)
• Two professional references
• Must be based in the UK with the right to work, even for remote assignments

It is essential that you promote the health, safety, and well-being of children and young people while adhering to safeguarding policies at all times.

• This position involves engaging with us as a Worker for short-term assignments
• You will work under a contract for service and be paid via PAYE
• No guaranteed work or expense coverage is provided
• Our insurance covers the work you do for us
• This is not a self-employed tutoring position
