Pipefitter

Location: Glasgow – Govan and Scotstoun (On-site, must attend a recruitment day in Glasgow)

Salary: £38,662.00 (plus potential additional shift allowance of 33%)

As a Pipefitter, you'll play a crucial role in our projects, ensuring the efficient operation of piping installations while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality. Your responsibilities will include:

• Fabricating and installing pipework systems using various materials (copper, cuni, carbon steel, and stainless steel).
• Utilizing hand tools and mechanical equipment to cut, bend, and weld pipes.
• Installing utilities aboard ships, including sinks, showers, and toilets.
• Assembling fittings, valves, and related components according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Collaborating with other trades to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
• Adhering to safety regulations and company procedures at all times.
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed.

Essential:

• Modern Apprenticeship certificate/Trade Papers (required upon application) and relevant qualifications (e.g., SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
• Current knowledge and experience in pipe manufacture, installation, and associated equipment.
• Strong understanding of pipefitting techniques, tools, and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Clear understanding of SHE, COSHH, and Risk Assessments.
• Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within an industrial or commercial environment.

Desirable:

• Marine Pipefitting experience.
• Experience in industrial or commercial settings.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Experience in TIG Pipe Welding.
