Salary: £38,662.00 (plus potential additional shift allowance of 33%)
What You'll Be DoingAs a Pipefitter, you'll play a crucial role in our projects, ensuring the efficient operation of piping installations while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality. Your responsibilities will include:
- Fabricating and installing pipework systems using various materials (copper, cuni, carbon steel, and stainless steel).
- Utilizing hand tools and mechanical equipment to cut, bend, and weld pipes.
- Installing utilities aboard ships, including sinks, showers, and toilets.
- Assembling fittings, valves, and related components according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Collaborating with other trades to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
- Adhering to safety regulations and company procedures at all times.
- Maintaining accurate records of work performed.
Essential:
- Modern Apprenticeship certificate/Trade Papers (required upon application) and relevant qualifications (e.g., SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Current knowledge and experience in pipe manufacture, installation, and associated equipment.
- Strong understanding of pipefitting techniques, tools, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Clear understanding of SHE, COSHH, and Risk Assessments.
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within an industrial or commercial environment.
Desirable:
- Marine Pipefitting experience.
- Experience in industrial or commercial settings.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Experience in TIG Pipe Welding.

About the Pipefitter TeamWe are looking for a skilled and experienced Pipefitter to join our dynamic team in Clyde. You will be instrumental in fabricating and installing piping systems across various projects in the defence sector, ensuring safety and quality at every step.
