Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Key Account Manager to join our rapidly expanding EMEA Data Centre sales team. Based in the UK, this role requires a travel commitment of around 10%-15%.
In this pivotal position, you will drive new business and expand strategic relationships with data centre customers, including hyperscalers, colocation providers, enterprise end users, contractors, and consultants. Your efforts will be crucial in delivering both short-term wins and long-term growth for our Carrier Data Centre business.
Your ResponsibilitiesIdentify and Pursue Opportunities: Seek out net-new opportunities across hyperscaler, colocation, edge, enterprise, and replacement cycles.
Build Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic and hyperscaler accounts, fostering strong, long-lasting relationships at multiple levels.
Develop New Accounts: Get the tenders, study the projects, and craft compelling offers to win clients over.
Maintain a Robust Pipeline: Build and sustain an insight-led pipeline and backlog aligned with a strategic account plan.
Conduct Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to shape effective sales strategies.
Represent Carrier: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance our brand and pipeline.
Coordinate Internally: Work closely with engineering, operations, and customer support teams to ensure successful project delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the data centre industry, strong sales acumen, and exceptional account management skills.
Experience: Proven experience in Key Account Management, sales, or business development within data centre infrastructure; HVAC/chilled-water and airside cooling experience is highly valued.
Track Record: Demonstrated success in managing large, complex accounts and achieving ambitious targets.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with hydronic chilled-water and airside products applicable to data centre cooling is advantageous.
Communication Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills; excellent time management and organization.
Willingness to Travel: Flexibility to travel and utilize regional offices as needed.
IT Proficiency: Competent in MS Office applications.
