This position is for a 12-week internship during the summer of 2026. The Coinbase Machine Learning team is dedicated to crafting innovative ML models to enhance platform security, promote user engagement through personalized recommendations, and elevate overall customer experiences. Our focus is on building scalable, adaptive, blockchain-aware ML systems that empower users to explore and utilize new crypto applications. Key Responsibilities: Develop, deploy, and manage machine learning models and pipelines at scale.
Lead research projects that apply advanced ML techniques to real-world challenges.
Collaborate with senior engineers and product partners to discover and address new ML use cases in the blockchain domain.
Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Ph.D. with research experience in machine learning.
Strong software engineering capabilities.
Experience coding on machine learning platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Familiarity with foundational ML techniques (e.g., supervised and unsupervised learning).
A desire to learn and adapt to emerging technologies and challenges.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience or interest in crypto, including knowledge of on-chain activities, Ethereum interactions, and decentralized applications (dApps).
A keen interest in deep neural networks, GANs, GNNs, and time series modeling.
