Apartment Maintenance Technician

Key Property Management is seeking a Part-time OR Full-time Apartment Maintenance Technician in St. George, UT. The responsibilities of this position include the following:

Perform daily maintenance of apartments, grounds, parking lots, and common areas

General repairs – including electrical, carpentry, sidewalk, and parking lot

Troubleshooting of appliance, plumbing and HVAC systems

Prepare units for new move-ins including painting and some cleaning

Oversee preparation for government inspections with an emphasis on site health and safety

REQUIREMENTS:

• The Apartment Maintenance Technician will work with the Property Manager to identify janitorial, maintenance-related and capital improvement activities.
• Initiate, perform, and/or oversee janitorial and maintenance projects.
• Perform apartment turnovers, repairs, grounds maintenance, and overall upkeep a multi-unit property.
• Assist Property Manager in the implementation of site policies, standards, procedures, and government programs relating to the overall maintenance and upkeep of a "HUD subsidy" property.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple, concurrent maintenance activities.
• Work with Property Manager to meet and exceed the needs of the apartment community.
• Develop scopes-of-work for small improvements/services and seek out qualified contractors to bid the work.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiating pricing, collaborating with the Site Manager as well as corporate property management portfolio management on an approved, and up-to-date, vendor list

Candidates must be detail-oriented and be able to demonstrate an excellent work ethic. Superior customer-service skills are a must.

Wage is DOE

Benefits vary based on status, employees working 30+ hours per week are considered full-time and are eligible for all benefits.

Medical insurance premiums may be covered at up to 100% for individuals working at least 30 hours per week

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
