Position Summary: The Content Operations Specialist ensures FAST’s public engagement is consistent, timely, and aligned with our mission and regulatory standards. This position plays a key role of keeping various constituent groups informed and inspired to engage with FAST’s mission to cure Angelman syndrome. The ideal candidate will have both strong operational and creative skills. The Content Operations Specialist will work closely with senior leadership to move key brand and communication assets from concept to launch, creating high‑quality deliverables that resonate with our external audiences. Essential Duties Project Coordination Oversee project workflows by triaging incoming requests, tracking creative projects with priorities and deadlines, and coordinating cross-team review and approval processes to ensure timely, accurate deliverables. Schedule project check-ins, record action items, and follow up to ensure the progress of deliverables Communicate with staff to ensure proactive awareness on outgoing communications Operations Build and maintain an online content pipeline tracker Monitor for recurring updates and quality checks on active assets to ensure up-to-date and accurate messaging Organize and catalog photos, videos, and creative files Support basic website updates, or communicate changes to external website partner Schedule and launch newsletters and social media posts Content Pipeline & Production Support content creation for priority and annual campaigns Create and adapt on-brand graphics using FAST templates and guidelines Draft and polish short-form copy (social captions, event promos, short web blurbs) Develop staff social media toolkits to engage and elevate FAST-posted content Monitor the organization’s LinkedIn page along with partner, competitor, and other rare disease organizations’ social media channels Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, nonprofit management, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a fast‑paced communications or project coordination role 2–3 years of experience in communications, marketing, project coordination, or operations Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, track deadlines, and coordinate across teams Experience using project or content trackers (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday, etc.) Proven ability to coordinate review and approval workflows (routing drafts, consolidating feedback, tracking versions, and managing revisions) Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment Ability to thrive in a remote work environment, while building strong, trusting relationships and support a positive, inclusive team culture from a distance Passion for, or genuine interest, in FAST’s mission to cure Angelman syndrome; dedication to working in a mission‑driven environment Preferred Experience in a nonprofit, health, or patient advocacy/rare disease setting Experience supporting or scheduling newsletters and social media posts (e.g., via Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar platforms) Experience with basic digital asset management (organizing photos, videos, and files in a shared drive or DAM) Experience supporting digital content and creative work Experience with graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator) Application Process: Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter to talent@cureangelman.org.
