Academy for Young Minds (AYM) , powered by Gersh, is seeking an experienced Speech Therapist to join our team and work in one of our brand new, state-of- the-art classrooms in Long Island City, NY .
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide appropriate and individualized therapy and interventions to students
- Collect data on student's progress
- Assess students' progress to inform continued instruction
- Support team with the development of social and language skills of their students
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
- Use Central Reach parent portal
- Demonstrate professionalism in classroom while adhering to the mission, vision and philosophy of AYM.
- Prep and clean up therapy space each day
Requirements
- NYS License as Speech and Language Pathologist
- NYS TSHH or TSLD Certification
- Understanding of the needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or other developmental disabilities
- PROMPT trained
- Knowledge of NYS Common Core Standards and RTI
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Computer proficiency (e.g., data base, word processing, etc.)

The pay range for this role is:
75,000 - 90,000 USD per year (Queens LIC)
