Summary We are seeking a Plumbing Design Engineer with a background in MEP design to join a growing and collaborative engineering team. This role will focus on designing plumbing systems for a range of commercial, institutional, and multifamily projects. The ideal candidate has experience in plumbing layout, code compliance, and coordination within multidisciplinary MEP teams.

Key Responsibilities
* Design and layout plumbing systems (domestic water, sanitary, storm, gas) in coordination with HVAC and electrical teams * Prepare construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and technical calculations * Review and interpret architectural and structural plans for plumbing integration * Collaborate with internal engineers, designers, and project managers throughout all phases of design * Ensure all designs meet local, state, and national codes (UPC, IPC, etc.) * Assist with site assessments, shop drawing reviews, and field support as needed * Participate in project meetings and coordinate with clients and consultants

Qualifications
* 2-5+ years of experience in plumbing design within an MEP environment * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field * Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Revit and/or BIM tools strongly preferred * Solid knowledge of plumbing codes and engineering principles * Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work across disciplines * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently

Preferred Experience
* Exposure to design-build and design-assist delivery methods * Experience in commercial, multifamily, healthcare, or institutional project types * Familiarity with LEED or sustainability-focused plumbing design is a plus
