What You'll Do As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you'll work closely with Production, Engineering, and Sales to ensure parts meet precise customer specifications. Your responsibilities will include:
* Acting as a liaison between production, customers, and sales regarding quality concerns * Interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical standards * Selecting and testing products at different stages of production for dimensions, performance, and material characteristics * Recording and evaluating test data using statistical quality control procedures * Performing final inspections and generating detailed reports * Making recommendations to improve quality or production standards * Setting up and conducting destructive and nondestructive tests as needed * Using a range of precision inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and more
* Qualifications Required:
* High school diploma or GED * One or more years of experience in a related inspection, quality, or manufacturing role * Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* Preferred Experience:
* Experience working in environments certified to ISO 9001 or AS9100 standards * Knowledge and hands-on experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) reports * Familiarity with aerospace industry requirements and quality expectations * Lead or supervisory experience in a quality or manufacturing role * Proficiency with SPC tools/software * Skilled use of inspection tools and equipment including:
* Calipers, micrometers, durometers * Optical comparators, CMMs * Rockwell hardness testers, eddy current meters, surface plates, protractors, and height gauges
* Ability to document inspection results clearly and prepare formal reports
