Join Our Team! Are you a passionate and experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in Java and full stack development? In this role, you will play a vital part in creating high-performance, secure software systems that support our Human Resources and Physical Security IT initiatives. Your Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of comprehensive full stack solutions using the Spring Boot framework. Translate business needs into scalable, efficient technical solutions while ensuring robust quality. Participate actively in sprint planning, refining stories, and providing accurate timelines for development. Deliver clean, maintainable code that follows modern design patterns and adheres to best practices. Create and execute thorough unit test cases to ensure high coverage and quality assurance. Mentor junior engineers, conducting code and design reviews to foster team growth. Troubleshoot complex issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing effective long-term fixes. Support CI/CD workflows and drive continuous improvements in build and release processes. Embody and promote GM's core values and behaviors throughout your work. Your Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on the Java/Spring Boot framework. At least 3 years of experience in leading software engineering teams successfully. Proven ability to apply modern design patterns to create scalable, reusable code. A demonstrated history of improving development efficiency and successfully delivering projects. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and facilitate decision-making. Expertise in Angular for front-end development. Experience in building and scaling backend services in hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud). Hands-on knowledge of cloud application development and deployment. Proficiency in RESTful API design and development. Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and SQL Server, including stored procedures. Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with Agile methodologies and tools, such as Jira and Confluence. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. What Sets You Apart: Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). 3+ years of application development experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Knowledge of modernizing .NET frameworks and strategies. Experience with GitHub actions and CI/CD automation. A strong foundation in Monitoring and Observability practices. Experience with Azure Databricks and Data Mesh architectures. This position requires a hybrid work approach, with the expectation of reporting to a specific location at least three times a week.
