As a QA Engineering Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of quality engineering at Meta. You will tackle complex quality challenges for products built with cutting edge and interoperable technology serving over 3+ billion people worldwide. An ideal candidate will have a technical background, with extensive experience in test engineering and quality assurance. They are visionary, a self-starter, detail-oriented, adept at navigating ambiguity, and have a profound passion for quality and innovation. Additionally, they possess the capacity to navigate and shape QA engineering and testing amidst the AI technology revolution, which is transforming both the products Meta builds and the way we conduct QA engineering.Required SkillsQA Engineering Lead Responsibilities:Architect and lead the implementation of comprehensive product quality strategies across Meta's wide-ranging product lines, including consumer and business productsDesign and develop advanced test frameworks and methodologies for mission-critical projects to ensure product integrity before launchLead the integration of AI-driven testing tools and methodologies, leveraging AI to enhance test coverage, efficiency, and accuracyStay abreast of AI advancements and their implications on product quality, proactively adapting QA strategies to harness AI's potentialMentor and guide a team of QA leads and engineers, fostering quality work and continuous improvementCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering/PM/Operations) to ensure comprehensive QA coverage and provide strategic feedback on quality issuesPartner with engineering and infrastructure teams to drive the adoption of automation and scalable solutions to prevent regressions and enhance product reliabilityEvaluate and influence the release process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality productsDefine, implement, and optimize QA processes to scale testing efforts across the organizationEstablish and champion quality metrics that measure test effectiveness, efficiency, and overall product qualityMinimum QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experienceExtensive experience with industry-standard test automation tools and frameworks10+ years of quality engineering and/or test engineering experience, with a focus on large-scale systemsProven track record in architecting and executing complex test strategies and frameworksHands-on experience with performance, stress testing, and quality test automation for both mobile and web applicationsProficiency in programming languages such as Python, PHP, Java, C/C++, or equivalentPreferred QualificationsPreferred Qualifications:Expertise in leveraging data analytics to drive product quality improvementsExperience leading cross-functional engineering teams across global locationsDemonstrated creativity and initiative in enhancing product quality coverage and effectivenessDemonstrated communication skills, with the capacity to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levelsDemonstrated experience in thriving in an ambiguous environment, with an outstanding capacity for self-prioritization and project managementExperience in project management methodologies, tools, and phases of a project lifecyclePublic Compensation$186,000/year to $254,000/year + bonus + equity + benefitsIndustry: InternetEqual OpportunityMeta is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
