Job Summary
The Applications Developer will be a computer programmer with a goal to develop computer software applications. The Applications Developer should have the ability to effectively write code in a variety of coding languages such as SQL, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Entity Framework Core, Business Central AL, React and others. The successful candidate will be able to analyze and assess procedures, document workflow, and translate this knowledge into effective automation solutions and applications. This Developer should be a creative problem solver who excels at thinking logically and works well in collaborative settings. A broad knowledge of computure and application security is required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Creates and modifies computer programs and AI-driven applications based on project specifications, including machine learning models, data pipelines, or natural language processing tools. Collaborates with department heads, managers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into functional software and AI-based solutions. Designs, or assists with the design of, graphical user interfaces (GUI) and data visualization components for both traditional software and AI-powered applications. Works closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze project specifications, including requirements for AI models, data acquisition, and model inference workflows. Develops logic and flowcharts for both conventional applications and AI decision paths; anticipates potential failure points in AI models and builds contingency handling (e.g., model fallback, error thresholds). Tests applications, including the validation of AI model performance using test data; coordinates and observes beta testing with key users for feedback and refinement. Debugs and corrects issues in traditional software and AI-driven features; uses AI-specific debugging techniques such as reviewing prediction logs or training data quality. Analyzes, reviews, and revises both traditional code and AI logic to improve accuracy, performance, or to meet changing business needs. Develops and maintains technical documentation, including datasets used, model architecture, training parameters, and deployment procedures for AI solutions. Provides training and support to end users, including guidance on interpreting AI-driven outputs and using AI-enhanced features. Builds applicable technical standards and reusable components (including AI models or services) that contribute to the foundational integrity and future growth of the companys software ecosystem. Stays up to date on emerging AI technologies and tools; recommends new solutions and integrations as applicable. Performs other related duties as assigned by the CTO or Senior Dynamics Developer.
Qualifications and Professional Skills
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field,
or at least three years of professional experience
in software development or AI-related roles. Must be legally able to work in the United States. Must be comfortable with and legally able to work in a facility that handles firearms and munitions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical conceptsincluding AI logic and predictionsto non-technical stakeholders. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills for working across departments on AI-enabled and traditional development projects. Demonstrated ability to anticipate and troubleshoot both user experience issues and technical bugs in software and AI applications. Experience developing, training, or integrating AI/ML models into business applications (e.g., predictive analytics, document recognition, or conversational AI). Familiarity with or direct experience using
AI services such as Azure AI, OpenAI, or custom Python/ML models
is a strong plus. Experience with
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and AL language
is a significant advantage. Highly organized with strong attention to detail, especially when managing large datasets or model versioning for AI workflows. Hands?on experience with
Agile software development methodologies , including sprint planning and iterative releases for AI or SaaS applications. Accounting knowledge or experience with
ERP system development
is a plus, particularly in financial and operational modules. Strategic thinker and creative problem solver, capable of designing innovative, AI-enhanced features that meet real-world business needs. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under time constraints. Committed to providing outstanding support and training to end users, including those interacting with AI-powered interfaces or tools.
Physical Demands & Abilities
Regularly spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. Regularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlessly. Work will be mostly completed in a climate controlled office environment.
