As one of our Senior Engineers, youll play a vital role in the continued acceleration of our product strategy./ppThis will include:/pulliDriving your squad to develop critical features for our customers. We primarily develop our applications using Ruby. If youre not familiar with Ruby, no worrieswe offer training to ensure youre equipped with the necessary skills/liliCollaborating closely with our global team of designers, product managers and UX specialists to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions/liliWriting automated tests for your production codes/liliDeveloping and maintaining key components of web applications/liliConducting testing and code reviews for both yourself and your colleagues/liliMentoring the Junior Engineers within your squad/li/ulpTo thrive at Employment Hero, youll need to embody The EH Way - operating with focus, agility, and an obsession with impact. For this role, youll also bring:/pulliYou are a highly skilled, senior-level Software Development Engineer (our Senior Engineers typically have 6+ years of experience in Software Development, but we grade based on technical expertise over years of experience)/liliIn previous roles, youve focused on Server-side and RESTful API Development and integration/liliYoure proficient in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, PHP, etc. Well upskill you in Ruby when you join/liliYou have proven experience implementing, maintaining and deploying full-stack web technologies/liliYou have a strong understanding of best practice software engineering processes, testing, and Agile methodology/liliA team player that always puts colleagues ahead of yourself and has a highly adaptable and versatile approach to work/liliYou have good verbal and written English skills/liliYoure passionate about learning, sharing your knowledge, and mentoring team mates/liliExperience is important, but for us the biggest measure of success is people who can live and breathe our EH Way of working.
