Our team plays a crucial role in identifying problems in the industry and delivering novel solutions./ppAs a member of the Custody team, you will have the chance to collaborate with highly skilled Rust engineers, cryptographers, hardware aficionados, and on-chain experts from around the world. We are enthusiastic about the highest security custody environments and efficiency of signing with the major cryptographic curves. This is a fully remote role./ph2The Opportunity/h2pIntegrate our existing systems with exciting new blockchains/ppDesign and implement low-latency, high-availability, secure applications and data protection systems/ppWork on specialized hardware (HSMs) integrations/ppBuild highly scalable, high volume services/ppWrite reusable, testable, and efficient code/ppOwn, develop and maintain existing crypto services/ph2Skills You Should Hodl/h2p5 to 10 years of experience as a backend developer/ppProficiency in Rust, or C++, Go/ppExperience with Blockchain daemons such as Bitcoind, Litecoind, or other crypto software/ppStrong foundation in cryptographic concepts/ppWorking knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and GNU/Linux/ppUnderstanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds/ppHands-on experience with distributed systems and messaging platforms such as Kafka/ppFamiliarity with authentication, authorization, and security compliance/ppKnowledge of scalable application design principles/ph2Nice To Haves/h2pSenior leadership experience with mentoring abilities/ppProficiency with embedded systems/ppExperience implementing algorithms in constrained environments/ppHands-on knowledge of custodial cryptographic techniques/ppProven track record in leading secure crypto service development/ppThis job is accepting ongoing applications and there is no application deadline./ppPlease note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution./ppWe consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance./ppKraken is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate all Krakenites for their diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions and unique perspectives.
