Your Role and Responsibilities: As an experienced SAP Commerce Architect, you will lead and execute complex SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2) implementations and migration initiatives. This role combines deep technical knowledge with strategic consulting skills, directly impacting enterprise clients to modernize their e-commerce platforms and drive significant business transformation. Key Responsibilities: Solution Architecture & Design:
Define comprehensive SAP Commerce Cloud architecture in alignment with client business priorities and technical needs. Lead the solution design for migrations from on-premise SAP Hybris to SAP Commerce Cloud v2 (CCv2), including strategies for multi-instance consolidation. Establish effective integration patterns with vital enterprise systems including SAP S/4HANA, ERP, OMS, PIM, and external applications. Design high-performance, scalable architectures utilizing CCv2 cloud-native capabilities.
Technical Leadership:
Provide hands-on technical guidance to development teams throughout project lifecycles. Conduct architecture assessments, code reviews, and performance optimization initiatives. Define and uphold development standards, best practices, and governance frameworks. Lead efforts in identifying technical risks and crafting mitigation strategies for complex implementations.
CCv2 Migration & Upgrades:
Architect migration strategies from legacy Hybris platforms to CCv2, including data migration, customization refactoring, and modernization of extensions. Plan and conduct platform upgrades while ensuring minimal business disruption. Evaluate and redesign custom extensions for compatibility with CCv2 and cloud optimization. Outline build, deployment, and environment management strategies within the CCv2 ecosystem.
Client Consulting & Engagement:
Serve as a trusted technical advisor to client stakeholders, translating business requirements into effective technical solutions. Lead discovery workshops, technical assessments, and roadmap development sessions. Present architectural recommendations to executive and technical stakeholders. Support pre-sales activities such as RFP responses, solution demos, and effort estimations.
Delivery Excellence:
Collaborate with project managers to define timelines, dependencies, and resource allocations. Ensure delivery quality by adhering to architectural standards and embracing best practices. Mentor and develop junior architects and technical team members.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree Required Technical and Professional Expertise: 8+ years of experience with the SAP Commerce (Hybris) platform. 3+ years in a Solution/Technical Architect role. Proven expertise in leading SAP Commerce Cloud v2 (CCv2) migrations and implementations. Consulting experience with enterprise clients across diverse industries. Demonstrable track record of successful on-premise to cloud migration projects. Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of SAP Commerce architecture including ServiceLayer, persistence, impex, and data modeling. Proficient in CCv2 build and deployment practices, environment management, and manifest configuration. Strong comprehension of SAP Commerce modules: B2B, B2C, Order Management, PCM, and Promotions. Experience with integration technologies: REST/SOAP APIs, SAP Integration Suite, and middleware platforms. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps methodologies. Consulting Skills: Outstanding client-facing communication and presentation skills. Experience delivering technical workshops and aligning stakeholders. Adept at navigating complex organizational dynamics and building trust. Strong documentation and proposal writing abilities. Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. SAP Commerce Cloud certifications are highly desirable. Travel: Please note, travel to client sites may be required based on project needs.
