Assistant Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. The Daycare Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
• Provide individualized attention to each child, ensuring their needs are met.
• Monitor children's progress and behavior, implementing effective behavior management strategies as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns.
• Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.
• Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education and participate in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
• First aid certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
• Experience with special education or working with individuals with disabilities is beneficial.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive environment for all children.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
• A nurturing attitude with the ability to build trusting relationships with children and families.
