Job Summary:
Pine Hill Rehabilitation and Wellness Center is seeking a compassionate and caring Activity Aide to join our team As an Activity Aide, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to create a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for our residents. You will assist in planning and implementing diverse recreational activities, social events, and outings that promote socialization, entertainment, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and leading various activities, such as games, arts and crafts, and entertainment programs
- Develop and maintain a social calendar of events to cater to diverse resident interests
- Coordinate and supervise activity staff, volunteers, and residents during activities
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation, attendance, and preferences
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized activity plans
- Provide assistance with daily living skills, such as grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for activities and events
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 0 years of experience in a healthcare or activity setting (entry-level candidate's welcome)
- Ability to lift, push, or pull moderate weights (up to 25 pounds)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of activities and recreation principles
- Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards seniors
