Overview

We are a well-established, patient-centered fee for service dental practice seeking an experienced Front Desk team member to join our office. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Front Office Benefit/Treatment Coordinator to join our vibrant dental practice. This vital role combines exceptional administrative skills with a comprehensive understanding of dental billing, insurance processes, and patient care coordination. As a key member of our team ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience while efficiently managing insurance verifications, treatment plans, and financial arrangements. Your energetic approach will help foster positive patient relationships and support the overall success of our practice.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and provide outstanding customer service at the front desk, managing multi-line phone systems with professionalism and clarity
  • Verify insurance benefits to confirm coverage details and eligibility for dental procedures
  • Coordinate treatment plans by explaining procedures, financial options, and insurance benefits clearly to patients, fostering understanding and confidence
  • Manage collections by following up on unpaid claims, submitting claims electronically
  • Perform insurance verification and pre-authorizations to streamline patient scheduling and treatment processes
  • Assist with office tasks such as filing, scheduling appointments

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a dental front office setting with strong knowledge of dental terminology and insurance processes is required
  • Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft; familiarity with Dental Intelligence, Modento and Insurance Answers is a plus
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to health information privacy and security
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), 10-key typing skills, and experience with multi-line phone systems
  • Excellent patient service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities
  • Familiarity with dental office procedures such as intake processes, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and filing systems
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in handling medical records and billing documentation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 38 per week
