OVERNIGHT Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Overnight Heavy Equipment Operator to operate and maintain a variety of machinery used in construction, excavation, or other heavy-duty projects. The ideal candidate will have experience handling equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, backhoes, loaders, and graders.

*Position is from 10pm-6am*

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues
• Load, move, or grade earth, rock, or other materials using equipment
• Follow project plans, blueprints, or instructions from supervisors
• Maintain worksite safety standards and comply with regulations
• Conduct routine maintenance, including refueling, lubricating, and cleaning machines
• Work collaboratively with ground crews and other machine operators
• Complete paperwork or logs related to equipment usage and site conditions

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience operating heavy equipment
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred
• Certification from a recognized heavy equipment operator training program (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and hazard recognition
• Ability to read plans, grades, and blueprints
• Good physical condition and stamina
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions and flexible hours

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, and operating equipment
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination
• Ability to work in noisy, dusty, and outdoor environments

Preferred Experience with:

• Excavators
• Bulldozers
• Cranes (if applicable)
• Front-end loaders

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $32.00 per hour
