Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services that meet their needs.
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, enhancing customer understanding and satisfaction.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing.
• Upsell relevant products or services to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure the sales floor is stocked, organized, and inviting.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining positive communication.
• Support inventory management through stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and assisting with inventory replenishment.

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in sporting goods, paddle sports or similar environments.
• Knowledge of Kayaks and Paddleboards and the different types of each. White Water, Recreational and fishing types of kayaks.
• Familiarity with Shopify POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math for accurate transactions.
• Handling and lifting Kayaks and Paddleboards that may need moved or loaded into a customers vehicle.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for sales transactions and inventory counts.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone professionally.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
