Job Description
Career Navigator – SSDP
The Career Navigator – SSDP for the iCan House program ensures that all program activities, such as social groups and events, run smoothly and meet all requirements and regulations. This person ensures that the needs of all members are met through ongoing communication with program participants and their guardians (where applicable), as well as community partners. They are responsible for developing appropriate curriculum based on the needs and goals of the members, creating weekly communications to families, documenting attendance, and other administrative duties.
Key Job Responsibilities
Oversees participants and compliance in our specialized programs, such as Hispanic Outreach.
Ensuring all policies and procedures as outlined for the assigned program are followed.
- Provides case management activities, outreach, and coordination with other programs.
- Forms and builds relationships with area businesses or organizations, encouraging information sharing and developing new partnerships with businesses or organizations.
- Utilizes and navigates CaseWorthy database to develop career plans for individuals receiving services.
- Completes reports for external and internal stakeholders.
- Maintains a positive network of community ties and a strong working relationship with organizations who refer individuals for services.
- Prepares presentations utilizing Microsoft Office products, facilitating training and presentations internally and externally.
Education
Associate's Degree, required.
Essential Skills & Abilities
- At least 1 years of experience in a similar role, required.
- Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Intermediate computer skills required.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Excellent critical thinking and time management skills.
- Must understand other organization's policies.
- Must be an active listener and have excellent soft skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and understanding of deadlines.
- Understanding of policies and programs.
- Understanding of Goodwill's brand and brand awareness.
- Working knowledge of MD/DD, and therapeutic methodology
- Must be able to travel up to 25-50%.
