Field Service Technician – Total Techs (Twin Falls, ID)

Total Techs is a fast-growing IT, security, and low-voltage solutions provider serving businesses across Southern Idaho. We install and support networks, security camera systems, access control, WiFi, fiber, servers, point-to-point links, and provide managed IT services. We're looking for a motivated Field Service Technician who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional service.

What You'll Do

• Install, service, and troubleshoot:
• Security cameras (Uniview, Ubiquiti, Dahua, Hikvision, etc.)
• Network infrastructure (UniFi switches, routers, access points, VLANs)
• Access control systems (PDK, etc.)
• Low-voltage cabling: Cat6, fiber termination/splicing (training provided)
• Servers, desktops, and general IT equipment
• Diagnose and resolve customer issues on-site and remotely
• Document work performed in tickets, including photos and notes
• Communicate clearly with customers and the Total Techs team
• Maintain a clean work environment and company equipment
• Follow safety guidelines, including ladder safety and job-site protocols

What We're Looking For

• Experience in IT support, security camera installation, low-voltage work, or similar technical roles (we will train the right person)
• Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to use power tools, testers, labelers, and basic hand tools
• Comfortable working on ladders and occasionally in attic/crawl spaces
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Professional appearance and communication
• Ability to work efficiently, follow procedures, and meet deadlines

Nice-to-Have Skills (Not Required)

• UniFi experience (UDM-Pro, Protect, VLANs, networks)
• Access control installation (PDK, HID, etc.)
• Fiber splicing/termination
• Windows server experience, domain networks, VPNs
• Construction, cabling, or electrical background

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
