Job Summary

AMC Tutoring is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated tutors to join our educational team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with children, building teaching skills, and making a meaningful impact in their community.

We are seeking a knowledgeable, patient, and engaging Pre-Calculus and Calculus Tutor to provide high-quality academic support to high school students. The ideal candidate will have a strong mathematics background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to break down complex concepts in a clear and approachable way. This role involves helping students strengthen foundational skills, improve problem-solving abilities, and build confidence in advanced math.

Duties

• Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in core subjects (reading, writing, math, and homework support).
• Develop and implement engaging lesson activities aligned with school curriculum and grade-level standards.
• Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
• Assess student understanding and adjust teaching methods as needed.
• Communicate with parents and the AMC Tutoring team regarding student progress.
• Support test preparation and enrichment opportunities for students who are ready for advanced learning.

Qualifications

• Current college student or recent graduate (Education, Psychology, English, Math, or related fields preferred, but all majors welcome).
• Strong academic skills and ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Prior experience working with children (tutoring, mentoring, coaching, babysitting, etc.) is a plus.
• Reliable, patient, and enthusiastic about helping students learn.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours around class schedules.
