Echocardiographer

We are seeking an Echocardiographer to perform direct patient cardiac diagnostic testing procedures with appropriate level of skill; in a timely and dependable manner consistent with current standards of care and departmental and/or hospital policy and procedure. Provide age specific care to patients of all ages.

• $ $58.87/hour

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of certification program and/or two years hands-on experience with echocardiography.
• Basic Life Support; Registered Cardiac Sonographer; Or RDCS through ARDMS
• Preferred: Extensive experience in echocardiography studies in a hospital setting. Extensive experience in both pediatric and neonatal echocardiography.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately perform all echocardiogram studies ordered by physicians, including, but limited to; Transthoracic 2-D, M-Mode, Color-flow Doppler, Transesophageal, Exercise stress and pharmacological echocardiography.
• Perform IV contrast administration and agitated saline bubble studies.
• Accurately perform other cardiac diagnostic studies as assigned, including but not limited to: EKG, Holter prep, monitoring and analysis and Cardiac stress tests.
• Correctly utilizes mechanical devices to provide the best diagnostic information to cardiology physicians to include but not limited to: echocardiographs, cardiac stress systems, electrocardiographs, Holter monitors and computer analysis.
• Accurately assesses hospital information systems for scheduling, processing and correct charging of all studies.
• Implement appropriate infection control practices and demonstrates a working knowledge of aseptic techniques and equipment disinfection.

Pay: $ $58.87 per hour
