Cashier/Stocking

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Stocking Associate to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and ensuring the store shelves are well-stocked and organized. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and experience in retail sales or grocery store environments. Bilingual abilities and supervisory experience are a plus, but not required. This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop your sales and customer service skills while contributing to a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS systems efficiently to process customer transactions accurately
• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service
• Handle cash handling duties with accuracy and integrity
• Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining store displays
• Conduct product demos to promote items and upsell when appropriate
• Maintain clean and organized checkout areas and sales floor
• Ensure proper merchandising according to store standards
• Use phone etiquette to assist customers over the phone when needed
• Support in supervising team members if applicable, including overseeing product demos and stock management
• Engage in retail sales activities, including upselling products to increase sales volume

Qualifications

• Previous experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales preferred
• Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for transactions and retail math tasks
• Experience in stocking, merchandising, or grocery store operations is a plus
• Bilingual abilities are desirable to assist a diverse customer base
• Supervising experience is advantageous but not mandatory
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude
• Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in product presentation and store cleanliness
