Facilities Manager

Salary: £57,000 plus car allowance and benefits

We’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Facilities Manager to ensure our site operates at peak performance at our Brakes Depot in Portbury, while also providing engineering support to our Bridgend and Bodmin sites.

As the head of our site facilities engineering team, you’ll lead three direct reports and ensure our plant, equipment, buildings, and facilities are top-notch for our clients and colleagues. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting audits and inspections to maintain high standards
• Overseeing health and safety compliance
• Managing capital planning and contractor relationships
• Developing maintenance and project delivery plans
• Driving continuous improvement in site performance

We’re looking for a seasoned Facilities Manager with a strong engineering and compliance management background. Here’s what you need to succeed at Sysco:

• Qualified in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (City and Guilds/NVQ Level 4 or equivalent)
• Management experience in FMCG or logistics
• A proven track record in enhancing performance in planned maintenance and asset management
• Project management expertise, including knowledge of CDM, GMP, 5S, and TPM
• Strong budgetary control skills
• Excellent problem-solving and people management abilities
• Experience managing key systems such as fire prevention, water, air supply, refrigeration, electricity, and dock doors
