The Studio Metrics & Strategy DSE team at Netflix utilizes data to empower business partners within the Content Operations & Innovation organization, ensuring operational excellence in content production. This role is critical for supporting creative teams in delivering captivating movies and shows that resonate with our members. We are in search of an exceptional Senior Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this position, you will collaborate with business teams and product managers to create metrics, develop analytical tools, and conduct analyses that drive content operations on a global scale. Your insights will shape production strategy and enhance the effectiveness of product-enabled workflows, guaranteeing we possess the resources to innovate across our diverse content slate. In this role, you will: Serve as a strategic partner to leaders in Content Operations & Innovation, identifying key analytical problems and crafting innovative data solutions to boost business health. Drive your work's direction, developing various solutions ranging from prototype tools to high-visibility dashboards and impactful analyses for Business and Product leadership. Establish and nurture strong partnerships with various business and product stakeholders, advocating for data-informed decision-making processes. Act as a strategic thought partner for Content & Business Product PMs, uncovering metric and analytical opportunities to evaluate the impact of our product solutions. Lead the development of new metrics and analytical tools to foster clarity and accelerate decision-making, integrating your insights into product-driven workflows. Communicate your analytical methodologies and findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborate with fellow Analytics Engineers and Data Engineers to source data from new systems, enhance foundational data models, and expedite the productization of data insights. About You: 5+ years of experience in data wrangling, analysis, metric visualization, and storytelling for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Expertise with SQL, Python, and intuitive dashboard design using tools like Tableau, Plotly, or Streamlit. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, complemented by strong business acumen. Adept at navigating ambiguity and thriving in fast-paced environments while taking initiative and ownership of projects. A self-starter with a desire to learn and explore new areas, bringing informed ideas to discussions. Proven ability to foster strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions through data-driven insights. Comfortable taking considered risks in your work and excited about innovation in the Content Production realm. Alignment with Netflix's unique culture. Experience in designing observational causal inference studies and leveraging their findings for strategic decisions is a plus. Our compensation is structured solely as an annual salary with no bonuses, providing flexibility in how you choose to balance salary and stock options each year. The compensation range for this role is $170,000 - $720,000. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off, while full-time salaried employees enjoy flexible time off from day one.
