We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic data engineering team in Tysons Corner, VA. In this role, you will design, build, and operationalize robust and scalable data pipelines to enable secure data brokering and exchange across diverse producers and consumers. You will work hands-on with AWS cloud environments, automation tools, and modern data frameworks to drive reliability, performance, and innovation across distributed data ecosystems./ppResponsibilities:/pulliDesign, build, and maintain scalable, cloud-based data pipelines and supporting infrastructure/liliCollaborate with internal teams and external partners to broker and exchange data through APIs, S3, and other secure interfaces/liliOperationalize data pipelines leveraging Python-native and AWS-native tools for ingestion, transformation, and delivery/liliProvide day-to-day operational support, including Tier 2/3 troubleshooting and incident response for production data pipelines/liliAutomate deployment and monitoring processes using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible/liliImplement data security and compliance controls aligned with RMF principles across multiple classification domains/liliParticipate in Agile development activities and contribute to continuous improvement of data engineering workflows/liliStay informed on emerging data engineering technologies and best practices to drive innovation within the team/li/ulpRequirements:/pulliUS citizenship with an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required/lili4+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data pipeline development, or cloud data systems/liliProficiency in designing and deploying data pipelines leveraging AWS services across multiple classification domains (e.g., IL5 to IL6+)/liliExperience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible/liliUnderstanding of RMF security principles and experience implementing security controls for cloud data systems/liliStrong programming and scripting skills in Go, Python, and Bash/liliExperience with data pipeline tools and platforms such as NiFi, Hadoop, HDFS, Kafka, or Cloudera Data Platform/liliProficiency with Linux environments and troubleshooting distributed data systems/liliExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams/li/ulpDesired Experience:/pulliExperience working with data lake and big data technologies such as Spark, Accumulo, or Elasticsearch/liliExperience automating data delivery workflows and monitoring systems for high availability/liliFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence/liliBackground in performance optimization and tuning of large-scale data pipelines/li/ulpPlease note: we are not working with staffing agencies to fill these positions and are not accepting any unsolicited resumes from agencies./p/div
