divh2Experienced Design Technician/h2pKimley-Horn is looking for an Experienced Design Technician to join our Land Development team in Detroit, Michigan (MI)!/ph3Responsibilities/h3olliDesigning and producing sets of plans for commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential Land Development projects; and implementing and managing AutoCAD drafting and plan preparation standards/liliDeveloping technical drawings and plans using CAD software/liliMaking and quality checking drawings and plans of substantial complexity and performing some multifaceted calculations/liliRequiring minimal supervision to perform day to day tasks/liliHaving knowledge of engineering principles and suggesting design changes/liliMaintaining drawing database/liliMay supervise and train CAD staff/liliCoordinating work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control/liliDeveloping familiarity with Kimley-Horns practices, procedures, and standards/li/olh3Qualifications/h3ulliHigh school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree preferred)/lili3+ years of relevant experience/liliAdvanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products/liliDetail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter/liliStrong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn/liliAbility to work independently and with a team/li/ulh3Why Kimley-Horn?/h3pAt Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
