We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hotel management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service. Multilingual and bilingual abilities are highly preferred to effectively communicate with diverse guests and staff. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of hospitality management, revenue strategies, and human resources functions, ensuring smooth and profitable hotel operations.
Duties
- Assist in managing daily hotel operations, including front desk activities, and guest services.
- Supervise and support staff across departments such as front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, and guest relations.
- Oversee revenue management strategies to maximize occupancy rates and profitability.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate night audit procedures and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Manage human resources functions including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor budgeting processes and control costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Implement policies and procedures aligned with hospitality industry best practices.
- Utilize multi-line phone systems with proper phone etiquette to communicate effectively with guests and staff.
- Support event planning and coordination for conferences or special occasions hosted at the property.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, leadership development, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a hotel or resort setting with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Strong background in hospitality management, including hotel operations, guest services, and resort management.
- Experience in revenue management, budgeting, human resources, and guest relations is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs professionally.
- Multilingual or bilingual proficiency is preferred to enhance communication with international guests.
- Knowledge of front desk operations, night audit procedures, and multi-line phone systems is essential.
- Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Previous hotel management experience is required; hospitality certification or degree is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple priorities simultaneously. This position offers an engaging environment for professionals passionate about hospitality excellence and leadership development within a vibrant hotel or resort setting.
Pay: $60, $70,000.00 per year
