Compensation: In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position.  The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

About the Program: Residential Treatment Program (STRTP): This short-term residential therapeutic program provides services to pregnant, parenting, and at-risk young women (and their children) ages 13-18 in the foster care and/or juvenile justice system. These youth are typically placed by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) or Probation Department.

Role Summary: Provide advocacy services to all program participants. Maintain a healthy, therapeutic, and safe environment for all participants. Must have the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to participants and fellow employees. Ensure an environment which addresses the spiritual, physical, emotional and developmental needs of all participants and their children.

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:30pm, flex Friday - 8:00am - 4:30pm
  • Location: 155 N Occidental Blvd, Los Angeles, CA

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule, coordinate and/or conduct STRTP staff trainings, to include: New Hire Orientation, ProAct, Facility Manager Training, In-Services, CPR-First and other trainings as needed.
  • Research, develop, and maintain the training curriculum, which includes the recruitment of internal and external trainers to formulate training based on the needs of the organization.
  • Oversee adherence to training requirements and training completion of all STRTP program staff, which may include developing plans to address outstanding trainings.
  • Assure St. Anne's STRTP training compliance with all regulations put forth by the Department of Mental Health, Department of Children and Family Services, Probation Department and Community Care Licensing.
  • Provide guidance to newly hired staff, by providing feedback regarding paperwork, policies and procedures.
  • Provide feedback to the Supervisors and STRTP Director regarding the progress of newly hired and current staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources or equivalent business field.
  • At least 3 years experience working with youth and families that interact with the foster care system.
  • Excellent oral, written, organizational and negotiation skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, and Computerized Employee Data System
