Position Details: 

Role: Veterinary Assistant

Status: Full-time

Salary: $17 -$20 per hour (depending on experience)

Schedule: Mon-Fri most weeks with rotating Saturdays

Your Day-to-Day Might Include:

• Greeting pets and their humans with warmth and professionalism
• Assisting veterinarians and licensed techs with exams, treatments, and surgeries
• Preparing and maintaining clean surgical and treatment areas
• Monitoring anesthesia under supervision and supporting surgical recoveries
• Helping with X-rays, lab samples, and pharmacy duties
• Educating clients on post-visit care and medications
• Keeping records accurate, detailed, and up-to-date
• Pitching in with hospital cleanliness and day-to-day operations

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care environment (preferred)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Veterinary Medication Clerk's License
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Confidence in multitasking in a fast-paced setting
• Willingness to work weekends (Saturdays only—on a rotating schedule)
• Reliability, professionalism, and a big heart for pets and people
